On a stormy April 6th evening in a Chicago, Olivia was born to a seventeen year old mother who had no support from anyone. Liv's mother, Noora, was a bit of a firecracker. She didn't get along with her mother, snuck out and hung out with "the wrong crowd". This resulted in Noora getting pregnant, the father bailing at the first sight of responsbility, and an explosive fight with her mother that severed their relationship. Feeling as if she needed no one or nothing to help her with the child, Nora leaves her mother's house, moving to New York, setting out to build a life on her own.Motherhood proves to be more than Noora expected. She has to work 2-3 jobs at a time ( usually a hotel and a diner ) just to keep their tiny loft. Sometimes it isn't enough. There are days where the power cuts off, weeks where there's no food in the fridge, years where Olivia doesn't get new school supplies or clothes. Liv proves to be a very difficult child for any mother to deal with, let alone a single teenage one. She has bouts of explosive anger, where she throws fits, bites, kicks and screams. Not knowing what's up with her daughter coupled with being exhausted from working nonstop puts a lot of strain on Liv and Noora's relationship.As Liv grows up, she can feel the burden she's put on her mother by just existing. Other kids would make fun of Liv for her appearance, from her unbrushed hair to her hand-me-down clothes that she got from the other kids in her apartment complex. Rather than roll over and take the teasing, Liv always fought back, landing her in the principal's office plenty of times. This only stressed her mother out more, who would often times have to leave her job just to come pick up Liv from school after getting suspended yet again.Wanting to avoid being home as much as possible Liv begins to join after school clubs. She finds joy in the STEM fields, finding a talent in making old things into something new and useful. Though she abhors school, she's an exceptionally bright student. When she's not at school she's skating around town on her skateboard, hoping around on the subway, hanging at skateparks, sneaking into dive bars. Noora can see her daughter going down the same path as her and warns her against it, but Liv will hear none of it. Since Noora is rarely around, she hardly considers her a parent. Though it mostly goes unspoken, Liv knows there's resentment towards her for being born. She knows her mother had other plans until she came along. Though they butt heads a lot, they do love each other as they're all they have.Liv frequently couch surfs at friends houses especially when she doesn't want to go home whether that be due to a fight, not having power or food. She's very resourceful, not shying away from stealing or talking her way into getting free things. When she can't find a couch to sleep on, she shacks up at a junkyard by the train tracks, sleeping in the cab of a truck she's trying to build so she can drive off and finally leave the town behind.

==teen wolf : == what is supposed to be a normal drive home with her father goes sour when their car is attacked by what the authorities keep referring to as “a mountain lion”. liv knows better. she saw the claws, the stature, the beady red eyes and she knows it wasn’t a mountain lion that dragged her father out of the car the night before her sophomore year of high school.without her father, liv’s personality takes a nose dive. she gets kicked off the devenford prep lacrosse team for poor grades and expelled from the school after getting into a fight in the hallway. her junior year she transfers to beacon hills high school, where she’s recruited onto the lacrosse team because her aggression is seen as an asset.liv dedicates most of her time trying to uncover the supernatural, trying to find answers to what happened to her father and prove to everyone that she is not crazy. under a HUGE rework bc i wrote this verse a year and a half ago when i first started writing liv and now it just doesn't work for her from what i've developed about her character okay thank u==stranger things : == liv works at an arcade as the person behind the counter who gives you prizes and she’s not very happy about it. she also has a brief stint at scoops at some point. sometimes she babysits the local kids. honestly, she just wants to make enough money to get out of hawkins, especially with all the strange things going on.==marvel : ==after moving from chicago when she’s four years old, liv and her mother settle down in queens, ny, where her mother owns a bodega that they live above. her parents had tried to make it work, but her father left when liv was very young, only leaving behind a box of cassette tapes and a broken walkman. liv, through many trials and errors, repairs the walkman when she’s twelve years old, using it to listen to the tapes. they’re a very small glimpse into the man her father is … or was and they’re all she has left of him. he doesn’t call. doesn’t text. no pokes on facebook or belated birthday cards with twenty dollars tucked inside. it’s simply as if he doesn’t exist. as if she doesn’t exist.the time that liv doesn’t spend hopping around on the subway and exploring boroughs, she dedicates to her inventions. not having the space for a work bench, she has a compact work bench that she’s made herself that easily slides under her bed. all around her room, she has various invention ideas and sketches. littered around her room are sticky notes with ideas scribbled on them. it’s an organized chaos.liv is accepted to midtown school of science and technology on a scholarship, after she showcases a robot she’s built from old scraps found around the city. she’s a part of the academic decathlon team, robotics club and would rather eat glass than join something like marching band. lacking a father figure and having an eye for a stem career, liv idolizes tony stark and hopes to get an internship with him one day.unfortunately, liv is a casualty of the blip and much to her dismay, has to repeat high school once again.==black widow centric : ==Ripped from her home and trained in the Red Room as a Widow, a neglected girl becomes a shadow, a threat and oh she’s fluent in Russian too, that’s cool. ( She does get her freedom post-film).==ghost au : ==when a minor argument with her mother goes downhill, liv wakes up at the bottom of their apartment building staircase. except, she doesn’t actually wake up at all. very quickly she finds that she walk through walls, disappear and fly ( well, it’s more of a pathetic hover ) and while all of that is super cool, no one can see her. or hear her. it’s as if she doesn’t exist. it’s a lonely existence, the state between life and death, until she comes across people who can actually see her for once. oh, also she’s the worst ghost ever. her haunting tactics? 2/10.==deadly class : ==A rat caught in the trap of her mother’s own poor choices, Liv goes from homeless to a student at King’s Dominion. She’s got everything she’s ever wanted, the price being a couple of lives. BUT she will regenerate a few days or weeks or so later in the same spot she combusted in so pls have clothes ready for her.In verses where Liv was raised by Reginald, he locked her in a freezer for days sometimes weeks on end in order to get her to control herself and not burn the place down. She also has a learning disability which made it hard for her to keep up with all the readings and learning languages they had to do, so if she failed to she was also, you guessed it, locked in a freezer. He would also sometimes douse her in freezing cold water or submerge her in freezing cold pools. He's a great dad 10/10

AS A YOUNG BOY, Finn always sought comfort in books. Growing up in an orphanage, he sought the comfort of friends and family in them, building worlds of make believe to combat the unsavory realities he was thrust into. BORN INTO A UNIQUE FAMILY SITUATION, Maggie never felt as if she fit in with one group of people or another. Typically a quiet girl, Maggie, being a slender girl of above average height from a young age, stuck out like a sore thumb when she preferred to blend in. Born to a mother who was born a commoner and a father who was a royal in a foreign country, Maggie always had the best of both worlds.
